Bio

Recently took up softball after a 20 year absent. My strongest softball memory takes place during warm up before a big game. I was playing short-stop and as an outfielder threw the ball to me, sun in my eyes, I blindly lunged left and caught the ball with my right eye socket. I don't remember the smack of the ball too much but I put my hand over my right eye and felt my hand literally experience the instant swelling. I didn't get to play in that game. My eye was swollen shut for about three days and I received a lot of positive attention over it. I didn't know it at the time but black eyes would play a pivotol role in my future, (in a good way).
